Owner Dale Pierce was born in Malta Montana. After moving around the country, his parents decided to make a home near Glacier Park and then in the Flathead Valley. 

Dale Graduated from Flathead Highschool. Went to School to be a welder and worked in Haver for a few years. Then dipped his fingers in some mechanical engineering. He became a welder and pipefitter on the Libby damn during the summer months and worked at the Nuclear Power Plant in Portland.  

But Dale felt like he was wasting his talents. He wanted to be at home with his young kids and wife. In 1970 he bought the house he still lives in today; and in 1974 he bought a blacksmith shop on Center Street in Kalispell, Montana. The old Blacksmith taught him some about how to use the forge and sharpen plow sheers for local farmers. His business was slow to expand, especially in the winter; when it was so slow, he went to work in Canada. He worked on whatever he could get his hands on, logging trucks, trailers, even the neighbor children’s little red wagon when they played too rough. 

Despite this adversity, young entrepreneur Dale Pierce worked hard to build a successful business with his knowledge of welding and his love of building and repairing anything on wheels. Once he started building his own custom trailers and bumpers, his business really took off. Dale was able to pay back all the money he had borrowed to start the business, became well known to individuals and businesses around the Valley who hold him in high esteem, and now enjoys his retirement in this beautiful valley.

Since then, the business has been moved to South of Kalispell and is run by Dales nephew Rick Carlon who Dale raised like his own son. It’s still a family business and those kids with the little red wagon are grown now, but the business still runs the same way it did all those years ago when Dale first started it.
